Are you looking for a way to improve your mental and emotional well-being? Have you considered art therapy?
Art therapy is a type of therapy that uses creativity to help you resolve conflicts, develop interpersonal skills, manage behaviors, reduce stress, increase self-esteem and self-awareness, and more. Engaging in an “artsperience” can help you cope with life’s challenges by combining art with the experience of being grounded and present.
I offer individual in-person sessions in my open concept studio office and online sessions for those who prefer to stay at home or are in the Northwestern Ontario region. I work with adolescents (12 and up), adults, and seniors using an eclectic style of treatment that borrows from CBT, DBT, Narrative therapy, and positive psychology, based on the client’s needs for that session.
You don’t have to be an artist to engage in art therapy. It’s about the process of creating and being in the present, and everyone can be an artist!
